Poxet Tablets is a treatment for men with frequent premature ejaculation (PE) problems. Premature Ejaculation is a common sexual disorder in which ejaculation happens before or soon after penetration has occured.
Poxet Tablets – Dosage
It is taken by mouth, in tablet form. The dose is usually 60 mg but may be reduced for certain patients. Consult your doctor for exact dosing instructions. Dosage depends mainly on your body weight.
Take the medicine as required, about 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dose is once every 24 hours.
Take the Poxet tablet whole with a glass of water.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Dapoxetine, the active ingredient present in Poxet Tablets is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) marketed for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men. Delaying male climax is a well-known effect of certain antidepressants. The time to maximal plasma concentration is only 1 hour. The initial elimination half-life is 1.2 hours, and the plasma concentration at 24 hours is < 5% of the maximal concentration. These properties allow for dapoxetine to be delivered as an on-demand preparation.
Poxet (Generic Dapoxetine) has the ability to lengthen the time between sexual arousal and climax.
The effect of dapoxetine can last as long as 15 hours.
